W00t, finally a new comic for everyone! Hooray! Has it really been a month since I have last put up a comic? Eep! I did not realize that it would be so long of a break. But, it was a good break for me, in more ways than one. It was good to not be pressured to draw a comic, it was good not to be obligated to get on the web every day and it was great to be able to relax and goof off for these past several weeks. It was also so nice to be able to draw and to have the drawings have nothing to do with QFB! It had been awhile since I had just drawn for the fun of it.

When I drew the comic yesterday, it was great to not have to force my ideas to come out. Right before I took my break, each comic was a chore to do and the ideas just were not coming. It was awesome to be buzzing with ideas for the comic again! In fact, I sat down to start preliminary work on today’s comic on Saturday while at my brother’s house and it was wonderful! Not because I had to do the comic, but because I was excited to get started on it again. Yea!

My family has been reading so many manga books lately, such as Megatokyo, Whistle!, and all three of the Kingdom Hearts series. And yes, it has been all of us, from my husband, to my son to my brother, to my nephews, nieces and both sister in laws. Oh how nice it’s been to enjoy the stories and art in the various series! I can feel my knowledge of art expanding, which is awesome. I tried something a little different with Kleptin in the comic today specifically in the fifth panel. It did not work out perfectly, but I smile at that panel knowing that just a year ago, I would have never attempted a drawing with such a head tilt. *tingles with excitement* It is good to see where I have improved and where I still have room to learn more!

Also, a completely non QFB rant: During these last few weeks, I have played a lot of Kingdom Hearts II for Playstation 2. I have beaten the game, but I heard from various sources that there was a secret movie attached to the game. I thought it would be cool to see it and started to do some research to find out what I needed to do in order to be able to see the movie. All I have to say is… Wow. To earn the secret movie (yes, the key word is earn ), you had to complete every world, which was the easy part, and also complete 100% of your journal. Wow. There is a lot of mini-games and tournaments that you needed to not only play to get a pip in your journal, you also had to beat a certain score to get a second pip in the journal. Well, I am proud to say that 65 hours later and countless tries and re-tries on all of the darn mini-games and tournaments, I earned the secret movie!!! W00t! Yeah, yeah, I know some of you will not be all that impressed, but KHII is only the 5th rpg game that I have beaten the final boss battle on and it’s only the 3rd game that I have now completed every side quest and bunny trail that there is to play on the game. And the funny thing is, I’m ready to start a new game and go at it again. :) I am crazy, aren’t I? lol....

Happy Tuesday all!

"And I thought they smelled bad on the outside!!" -- Harrison Ford in StarWars: Empire Strikes Back

I thought for sure that I would have more time to rant and play around on the forums during the summer. So far that hasn't happened. It has been a really busy summer. I actually had to force myself to take a week (most of one anyways) off so that I could recharge. Unfortunately, I still have not caought up with everything I need to do at home.

There is one thing that I need to say to everyone that has been checking in with us during this time. Thank you!!!! Have a good couple of weeks!! :)
