I think I bit off a bit more than I could chew in this comic. That ‘Eep!’ that Purplefire utters in the fifth panel not only conveys her view of those seedy characters, but also my attitude by the time I got all the way down to that panel. While the seedy characters were fun to draw and actually so was the whole comic, this one was just a time drain on me! Although, I love the direction it went! When I first envisioned this comic, it was much more serious, more of an introduction for the Green Leaf pub. I am so happy to toss some humor back into the comic after it seemed to be going dark. At least, in my opinion, it was getting too dark. Maybe it’s not dark enough for others. :)

The Green Leaf finally made it into the comic, hooray! This is the name that I had so many people on numerous websites and also in real life vote on. Over 50 votes were cast and once all was weighed and measured, the Green Leaf won the ‘name the pub’ vote, followed closely by both the Berry Buckle and the Cheese Wheel. I think that I have plans for those two in the future. They are far too good of names to simply let molder in a good idea pot.

Welcome to chapter 3! I am looking forward to doing this chapter. I have so many ideas and lines that I want to use that I am hoping that I will be able to get most of the really, really good ones into the comic. So, in the words of Purplefire: “What are we waiting for, let’s go talk to Kleptin!”

My time in the spotlight is over. Yeah!!! Thank you to all who endured that comic. Not to scare you too much, there might be times that I might put another up from time to time. I am really glad that I don't have to do that all of the time. :)

Well, the weather is starting to turn and you can tell that spring is in the air if you look at the kids that I work with, if you know what I mean. This time of year is fun an frustrating at the same time. It is fun because the plants are starting to grow again, and it is almost time to start a garden again. I love that stuff. However, it is frustrating because the last thing the kids want to do is stay inside and learn something. They start to get goofy because they are ready for summer and just want to write off the rest of the time leading to it. That's ok for then, however, we still have a lot of work to do here so they are just going to have to deal with it.

I guess that is all I have today. Happy Wednesday.
